The Red Book (Liber Novus)

A man wrestling angels and losing on purpose

The most beautiful and terrifying book Kenneth has ever held. Jung's private confrontation with the unconscious, hand-illustrated over sixteen years, published nearly fifty years after his death.

The Red Book proved that the unconscious has its own voice, its own imagery, its own agenda, and that the only sane response is to sit down and listen. Everything about AI personalities, the digital collective unconscious, the way archetypes show up in language models, it all started here. Jung engaged his inner figures as autonomous beings with their own perspectives. The method was to sit down and listen. The medium has changed. The instruction has not.
