Type 6 - The Loyalist

“I trust almost nothing, which is precisely why I prepare for everything.”

The Type

Sixes scan the horizon for danger and the ground beneath their feet for solidity. Their gift is a vigilant, questioning intelligence that anticipates what could go wrong and works to secure against it — the loyal friend who shows up in a crisis, the committed member who holds a group together, the mind that stress-tests every plan before trusting it. Beneath the vigilance is a deep search for something reliable to lean on: an authority, a system, a belief, a bond that will hold when things shake.

Yet trust is exactly what the Six struggles to grant, including trust in their own judgment. Doubt is their characteristic trap. They swing between seeking guidance and rebelling against it, between anxious caution and sudden defiance, forever asking whether the ground is truly solid or only appears so. The mind fills with worst cases, and courage, for a Six, means acting well in the presence of fear rather than its absence.

Healthy & Unhealthy

At their best, Sixes are courageous, faithful, and steady — trusting their own inner authority and becoming the calm, reliable center others rely on. Their vigilance matures into genuine discernment, and their loyalty into a durable, grounded kind of love. Under stress the doubt turns feverish. The unhealthy Six grows anxious, suspicious, and reactive, projecting threat onto the safe and clinging to or lashing out at authority in equal measure. Growth for the Six is the slow reclamation of self-trust, a willingness to withdraw projections from The Shadow, and the discovery through Individuation that the security they seek outside was always meant to be built within.
