A flaming fire that becomes a man, keeper of the stars and the buried hoard.
The Spirit
Amy — also written Avnas or Hanni — is the fifty-eighth spirit of the Ars Goetia, a Great President who first appears as a flaming fire and afterward, when commanded, takes the form of a man. His fiery manifestation links him to the celestial and the alchemical, and the grimoire preserves a curious note about his hope: it records that Amy trusts he will one day return to the seventh heavenly throne, an unusually poignant detail hinting at a longing for restoration among the fallen spirits.
He is chiefly a teacher and a revealer, sought for learning, for the finding of hidden wealth, and for the companionship of faithful familiars.
Office
According to the Goetia, Amy makes men wonderfully knowing in astrology and the liberal sciences. He gives good and faithful familiars, and he reveals treasures that are kept and guarded by spirits — a power that few of the other spirits share, since most can only find treasure that lies unguarded. His office thus joins the teaching of the stars and the sciences with the disclosure of concealed and protected wealth, presenting him as a spirit both scholarly and richly practical.
