He is discord made flesh, and he does not spare the hand that summons him.
The Spirit
Andras is the sixty-third spirit of the Ars Goetia, a Great Marquis, and among the most feared entries in the entire catalogue. He appears with the body of an angel and the head of a raven or a black night-owl, riding upon a strong black wolf and brandishing a sharp and gleaming sword. Every element of the image is ill-omened — the carrion bird, the predator, the drawn blade — and the grimoire is unusually candid about the danger he poses.
Where most Goetic spirits promise some benefit, Andras is the spirit of sown enmity. The tradition warns that he is a killer by nature, and that the conjurer who fails to control him carefully may find that the discord he traffics in is turned against the operator's own household. He is a cautionary figure, invoked in the texts to illustrate that not every one of the seventy-two is safe to command.
Office
The Ars Goetia states plainly that Andras sows discord. His office is the breaking of concord — the setting of friend against friend, the kindling of quarrels and murderous intent. The manuscripts caution that if the exorcist is not on his guard, Andras will slay both him and his assistants, and that the master of the spirit must be careful lest the strife he means to direct outward consume the circle itself.
