Mebahiah

A clear conscience is the inheritance a parent leaves before leaving anything else.

The Angel

Mebahiah (מְבַהִיָה) joins a root touching eternity and endurance to the suffix -iah, the contracted Name Yah, and is read as "the Eternal God" or "God eternal and consoling." He opens the sign of Capricorn as the fifty-fifth of the seventy-two rays drawn from Exodus 14:19–21, and his character is fittingly grounded, moral, and concerned with what lasts across generations.

Mebahiah's virtue is morality, religion, and the consolation of conscience. He governs the ethical clarity that lets a person distinguish right from wrong and act on it, the sincere practice of faith, and the peace that a clean conscience confers. The tradition specially associates him with fertility and offspring — with the granting of children to those who desire them and the transmission of sound values to the next generation. His influence favours those whose work upholds morality and religion: the honest, the pious, the steadfast. Ruling the opening five degrees of Capricorn, the sign of structure, duty, and enduring foundations, Mebahiah lends his blessings the weight of permanence. To invoke him is to ask for the strength to live rightly, the consolation that follows from having done so, and the fruitfulness — in family and in influence — by which good living outlasts a single life.
