What has been laid low, the mover of all things quietly raises.
The Angel
Sealiah (סְאֵלִיָה) carries a root associated with motion and the setting of all things in motion, bound to the suffix -iah, the contracted divine Name Yah. Kabbalists gloss it as "the Motor of all things" or "God who moves and vivifies." As the forty-fifth of the seventy-two configurations drawn from Exodus 14:19–21, Sealiah names the animating current within the Name itself — the impulse by which the inert is quickened and the dormant made to stir.
Sealiah's virtue is vivification and restoration. He governs the hidden vitality of nature, the sap in the vine and the pulse beneath convalescence, and he specialises in lifting up those who have been humiliated or brought low — the sick, the disgraced, the defeated. Where other powers reward the strong, Sealiah attends to the fallen, confounding the proud and exalting the humble as a matter of divine mechanics rather than sentiment. Positioned across the tenth to fifteenth degrees of Scorpio, the sign of death and renewal, he embodies its regenerative face: the descent that exists only to enable a rising. To call on Sealiah is to ask that stalled things move again — health, hope, fortune — and that the low place become the ground of recovery.
