The blade lifted in defence is holier than the blade lifted in conquest.
The Angel
Yelahiah (יְלָהִיָה) joins a root touching to be eternal, to endure — sometimes rendered God who delivers — to the suffix -iah, the abbreviated Tetragrammaton Yah. The whole is read by the tradition as "Eternal God" or, more pointedly, "God who protects against warfare." Extracted like all seventy-two names from the three verses of Exodus 14:19–21 — where each of the parallel lines yields exactly seventy-two Hebrew letters — Yelahiah stands as the forty-fourth ray of that concealed Name, the point where divine endurance turns toward the battlefield.
Yelahiah is the angel of the just warrior and the honest magistrate. His virtue is courage in a righteous cause: not the appetite for conflict but the discipline that fights only when peace has failed, and fights to restore it. The tradition sets him over soldiers, judges, and those who must render hard verdicts, granting them victory without cruelty and the clarity to distinguish defence from ambition. Where the fifth to tenth degrees of Scorpio concentrate the sign's martial intensity, Yelahiah tempers that heat into resolve, teaching that the truest strength is the strength that knows when to stay its hand.
