“Nothing hidden escapes the eye that keeps the loyal.”
The Angel
Yehuiah is rendered “God who knows all things” or “the God who sees all,” its stem drawn from the verb yāda‘, “to know,” fused with the sacred suffix -iah, the contracted Name of the Most High. It is the name of omniscient vigilance — the knowledge from which no treachery is concealed — and thus the angel of those who serve faithfully within hierarchies and depend upon the loyalty of others.
Set over the third pentad of Virgo, from ten to fifteen degrees, Yehuiah governs order, subordination, and the maintenance of just rank. Its classical office is the protection of princes and superiors against the plots of those beneath them, and the exposure of traitors and false counsellors; equally it defends the honest servant against slander. The virtue it bestows is discernment of intention — the ability to read the hidden motive, to distinguish the faithful from the false, and to hold one's place with integrity whether in command or in obedience. Under its influence conspiracies unravel and secret machinations come to light, so that the social body is kept sound. It is invoked by administrators, by those charged with the fidelity of institutions, and by any who must trust where trust may be betrayed. In the comparative scheme Yehuiah stands opposite the Goetic president and prince Gaap, who governs transport, philosophy, and the swaying of minds; where Gaap moves love and hatred at will, Yehuiah steadies the will in loyalty and true perception.
