“Two who learn each other’s silence have already been reconciled.”
The Angel
Iezalel is rendered God glorified over all things, the divine -el crowning a root that speaks of exaltation and honour. With the entry into Gemini — the first five degrees of that airy, communicative sign — the angel turns its glory toward the works of union: friendship, fidelity, and reconciliation. Where Taurus grounded the seventy-two in substance and shelter, Gemini opens them to relation and exchange, and Iezalel is the first breath of that opening.
The tradition makes Iezalel the angel of faithful attachment and of the reconciliation of the estranged, restoring lost affection and drawing back those who have quarrelled into a firmer bond than before. It grants aptitude for the arts and sciences, a prodigious memory, and a facility in learning that makes its favourites quick and articulate. Those under its influence are cheerful, sociable, and constant in friendship, and they excel in whatever requires the joining of minds. Iezalel answers the Goetic king Beleth, whose power over love and its terrible compulsions is here refined into the gentler and steadier love that binds friends and reconciles the divided, the same current turned from possession toward fellowship.
